What I am thankful for:
My loving God and Savior - and His watchful eye on me
My amazing husband and his incredible love for me
My wonderful family and friends
The job security that Steve and I have
My church family
The fact that I have lost as much weight as I have and continue to lose
My nephew - he is amazing
My cute house
and lots of other stuff that I can't think of right now. Basically I am just incredibly thankful that God is taking care of me and my family.
An elegant tapestry of quotations, musings, and autobiographical reflections.... I hope.

Random Ramblings
I have managed to contract a sore throat somehow. It sucks and hurts to swallow. Then yesterday afternoon my stomach was killing me. I decided to go ahead and go to the gym and give it a shot. I guess that was a bad idea because about half way through I started to feel light-headed and feeling like I was going to throw up. I think everyone thought the exercising part was too hard for me. It wasn't that - it was the constant moving around of my already upset stomach. So I sat down for the second half of the workout. I finally felt better around the time to leave and managed to drive home. So I have the rest of the week off from the gym because they are going to be closed. I still plan on getting on the treadmill at home and doing my crunches. We are supposed to be up to 400 this week. I know that I have lost several inches because my clothese are fitting loosely now. It's wierd but very welcome.
I lost 1.6lbs this week. So I am down a total of about 17.2 lbs. I am getting close to my 10% weight loss - only about 8 more pounds to go. I have two thanksgiving dinners to get through this week. I have come so far though that I have no fear of messing it up. I am really looking forward to getting out all the Christmas decorations. I have a really good portion of my Christmas shopping done.
Sunday was my and Steve's two year anniversary of being together. It's hard to believe that we have only been together for two years (my longest relationship yet! :) ) and have already been married for a little over a year. We did get married after we had been together for like ten months though, lol. I have never been so happy in my entire life. He is an incredibly wonderful man and I fall more and more in love with him every day. We are going to the Madrigal dinner at Eureka in a couple of weeks. I am looking forward to a weekend away with him - alone!!
We went to see Twilight on Saturday. I had my reservations because I really don't like fantasy-type stuff. However, I really enjoyed the movie and would like to see it again soon. I read the book on Sunday night in one sitting. I have to get the other three books now but the Walmart here is out of them. No big surprise because of how popular it has been. I lent the book to my friend Mandee and told her that we should go and watch it after she gets done reading it. I am glad it is doing as well as it has despite being a "low budget" movie. I like seeing the bigger movie production companies put in their place occasionally.
I also quit biting my fingernails. I have been doing good for about three weeks now so I just have to keep it up. I figured that if I was breaking other bad habits that I should break that one too. It hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be.
I am getting my hair done tonight. I am not sure what to do with it. I like that it is longer now but it seems kind of a boring brown color. The red low lights that I got done the last time didn't seem to last that long. It has only been two months and they are completely gone I think. It seems like red always washes out faster. So I will probably do something else tonight, I just don't know what. I have gotten a lot of compliments on my longer hair so I think I shall leave it long for now. It's warmer in the winter anyways.
So this has been a slightly random post but I think I got everything important in it. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

A late check-in
I always feel better after my workout. Today is no different. I weighed myself tonight instead of this morning because I know the results would be a bit better. Cheating a bit maybe, but oh well. So when I got on the scale tonight, I was down another 1.6lbs. So I am down a total of 15.6lbs total now.
I am still going to the gym three days a week. Tonight we did a full body workout and then did 300 crunches. I did every last one of those suckers too. Eventually we are supposed to be able to do 500. My knee is killing me so I am hoping the upper body workout on Wednesday will be the much needed break I need for it.
Anyways, there is lots of other stuff going on but I am too tired to write about it now.

Weight Loss and stuff
As of today, I have lost a total of 14lbs even. It seems like it is coming off eight tenths of a pound at a time but I guess I will take what I can get. I got through the first week at the gym and didn't die so that's a plus. Jim said that if we can get through the second week then he knows we will stick with it. Today is my husband's birthday - Happy Birthday Steve! Other than that, not much is going on. My head hurts a bit today, I think because it is so dry in the office. Everyone is getting sick around me, so I am hoping I won't get it.
If you can, go see the movie Fireproof. The acting isn't really great but the message that the movie gives is a good one.

Change
Well, Obama has won the presidency. It has amazed me how many closet racists have come out during all this. Sure, there are people that really wanted McCain to win, and that's fine. It's the people that didn't want Obama to win and couldn't really pin point a reason why. I do wonder how this will play out with all the non-closet racists out there. I have no doubt that someone will try to assasinate Obama at some point. What I do know, is no matter what else happens, God's will is what will be happening. I trust that and believe it 100%. I just hope that this is the change that America has needed for the past 4-8 years.

Weight Loss
Today was weigh-in day again. I lost another 0.8lbs so I am down a total of 13.2lbs so far. It's a damn slow process but if I tried a little harder I think it would come off a bit quicker. Tonight the bootcamp starts so that will help I think.
This week will start my insanely busy months. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I will have the bootcamp from 5:30-6:30. Thursdays I will have my incredible years parenting group that I am leading. So Tuesday nights will by my only free night for about the next 3-5 months. Holy cow!!
